I was drawing a sketch of Ukrainain ancient spirits called Sudenytsi. Sudenytsi are patron spirits of the family and people’s destinies. They come to a newborn on the third day after birth and leave signs of prophecy on the forehead. The youngest spirit looks like a 20-year-old girl. She predicts the day of wedding, the number of children, the talents. She wears pink peonies in her hair. The middle one looks like a 30-year-old woman. She predicts illnesses and disasters. She wears a wreath of blue anemones adorned with a lot of greenery. The eldest one looks like a 40-year-old woman. She predicts the day of death and decorates her hair with black roses.
